Training in Evidence Based Policy-Making 16th to 20th March, 2015 at the Civil Service College-Uganda in Jinja.

Civil Service College Uganda entered into partnership with Uganda National Council of Science and Technology (UNCST) and Economic Policy Research Centre (EPRC), Makerere to develop a curriculum, manual, and materials and deliver training to build capacity for policy makers in the Uganda Public Service

The collaboration which is currently operating under a DFID funded project- Developing Research Uptake in Sub-Saharan Africa (DRUSSA), with UNCST as the supervising agency, EPRC as the implementing agency identified the College as a key stakeholder in the delivery of the training program to ensure sustainability and continuity of the program.

Development Research Uptake in Sub-Saharan Africa (DRUSSA) is a five-year programme committed to improving research uptake and strengthening the capacity of 24 African universities in processes and systems to manage research uptake.

The goal is to improve the accessibility and utilisation of locally relevant research evidence to inform sub-Saharan and global development policy and practice.
